FOREVER MORE IS A PIECE FOR MOVEMENT AND SOUND DEVELOPED IN COLLABORATION BY CHOREOGRAPHER AND DANCER JOÃO CIDADE AND MYSELF. THE TWO DISCIPLINES ARE SO CLOSELY CONNECTED WITH EACH OTHER THAT THEY FORM A SYMBIOSIS.
THE WORK TAKES FORM FROM THE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL RELATIONSHIP WE BOTH HAVE WITH THE SPACE (ACKER STADT PALAST) WHERE THE PIECE IS TAKING PLACE. BEING ALSO A TATTOO ARTIST, FOR CIDADE, MARKING PEOPLE FOREVER BECAME A JOB. WITH THIS IDEA OF MARKING IN MIND WE SET OUT TO CHALLENGE THE THOUGHT OF HOW A PERFORMANCE SPACE AND THE PEOPLE THAT EXPERIENCE A PERFORMANCE CAN ALSO BE MARKED, IF NOT FOREVER THEN FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. FOREVER MORE AIMS TO PROVOKE THOUGHT AROUND THE IDENTITY OF INDIVIDUALS IN RELATION TO PERFORMANCE SPACES, WHILE FLIRTING WITH THE IDEA OF AN EMOTIONAL ARCHIVE IN AN ART SCENE AFFECTED BY A PANDEMIC.
